Event Details

This year, children will be able to join Justin and his dad ‘Mick the Hat’ to make their own tin can stove to take home with them. They are familiar faces at the event, and this promises to be a great session!!

From Justin:

“He has always been my mentor and my guide and from a very early age, he has always encouraged me to make things and to get outside and explore.
Now I am the teacher and between us we hope to pass on the knowledge and inspire the creativity of the next generation of bushcrafters.

During this 45 minute session we will show the youngsters how to light and keep a fire going and how to craft and make a hobo stove using a pre-used catering sized tin can.

At the of end of this fun and friendly session the children will have their own stove which, under the supervision of their parents, they can then light and use in the evening to cook a sumptuous banquet for their parents – or at a minimum they can (get it?!cook a sausage and beans supper!”

Sounds great!
